WordPress Can Seem Overwhelming But Is It Really

WordPress
I've been thinking about recent and past discussions with people who are new to Wordpress. They seem overwhelmed and are frustrated. WordPress can seem overwhelming but is it really? For some it's daunting and overwhelming and to others it just seems second nature. I fall into the the second category where it is second nature to me. I have worked with a lot of content management systems and WordPress was a software I could relate to and use pretty quickly. I'm wondering if it would have been the case if I hadn't ever used a content management system before. (more…)

Life After My Whole30 Challenge

Life After My Whole30 Challenge

Food, Top of Mind, Whole 30
It's been almost 2 months since my Whole30 challenge ended and I have been amazed about the impact it has had on me. Life after my Whole30 challenge has been very interesting! In the beginning when I started the challenge I didn't know if I could really live without my favorite foods. Almost 60 days later I have gone through the reintroduction process and have found I really don't miss how I was eating prior to the challenge. (more…)

Convenience Factor

Convenience Factor

Food, Random, Top of Mind, Whole 30
Back in March I took on the Whole30 challenge and it REALLY changed my perspective on food! It also got me to thinking about what I am now calling the "Convenience Factor". All my life I can remember eating food that was either in a box, can, frozen, or fast food. What do all of these have in common? The "Convenience Factor". It's very easy to grab food that is already made for you and all you have to do is heat it up or just unwrap it. I was raised this way. (more…)

I am having a hard time blogging recently. My last post was March 31st and it was so exciting to talk about my Whole30 accomplishment! Whole30 Week 2

Food, Random, Top of Mind, Whole 30
I just completed my second week on the Whole30 challenge. It's the end of Whole30 week 2 and I am at the halfway point to the 30 days!!! Week 2 brought along with it the flu. I haven't been this sick in a VERY long time but I was able to stick with it and not fall back on any of my favorite sick foods. (more…)

Whole30 Week 1

Whole30 Week 1

Food, Top of Mind, Whole 30
It has been seven days and I have been Whole30 compliant ALL week! I have tried so many new recipes and it's been fun discovering new ways of eating! My Whole30 week 1 had a few challenges in it but for the most part I am doing very well! I have been keeping a journal on how things are going and to help remind me of the meals I have been trying out. Eric has been a good sport about it all! I have packed his lunches with his favorites as well as sprinkling in the foods I am trying. He usually eats the Whole30 meal I make for dinner and he has enjoyed them as well. (more…)
