Social Media Is Social

Social Media Is Social

Social Media, Top of Mind
You may or may not know that I am a social media professional. Do I think I am an expert? Absolutely not! I don't actually think anyone is an expert because there is always something new to learn. Just like the web (my other professional side) social media is constantly changing and evolving. However, I do think there are some REALLY smart people out there that are doing social media right and you can learn from each and every one of them! (more…)

Building A Website For A Goat Herder

Building A Website For A Goat Herder

Projects, WordPress
I never thought I would build a website for a goat herder! My freelance work has lead me to meet some very interesting folks and this project was no different. I meet Brian through a mutual friend that referred me. Brian was in need of help with his goat herding website. He had tried working with others in the past to build the North American Savannah Association website to chronicle the history, grow the community, and above all else provide useful information for the goat herder community. WordPress Can Seem Overwhelming But Is It Really

WordPress Can Seem Overwhelming But Is It Really

WordPress
I've been thinking about recent and past discussions with people who are new to Wordpress. They seem overwhelmed and are frustrated. WordPress can seem overwhelming but is it really? Almost 60 days later I have gone through the reintroduction process and have found I really don't miss how I was eating prior to the challenge. (more…)

Convenience Factor

Food, Random, Top of Mind, Whole 30
Back in March I took on the Whole30 challenge and it REALLY changed my perspective on food! It also got me to thinking about what I am now calling the "Convenience Factor". All my life I can remember eating food that was either in a box, can, frozen, or fast food. What do all of these have in common? The "Convenience Factor". It's very easy to grab food that is already made for you and all you have to do is heat it up or just unwrap it. I was raised this way. (more…)

Drawing A Blank

Drawing A Blank

Random, Top of Mind
I am having a hard time blogging recently. My last post was March 31st and it was so exciting to talk about my Whole30 accomplishment! Since then there has been a lot of things going on and no time to sit down and write about any of it. When I did try to write yesterday I was drawing a blank! It's frustrating when you have nothing to write about but you know you do! So, this post is going to be a mish mash of things to help me out of the funk and stop drawing a blank. (more…)
